Dr. Sherry Pough, the distinguished author of "Boss Up & Raise Yours Boys: A Practical Guide to Raising Productive Young Men," seamlessly weaves her passion for education and commitment to cultivating the next generation of minority children and ESE students into every facet of her life.

As a devoted mother of two adult sons, she understands the profound impact of positive guidance. Currently serving as the Vice-Principal at New Smyrna Beach Middle School, Dr. Pough demonstrates her leadership by overseeing the ESE Department, which consists of nearly 250 students with disabilities and approximately 30 teachers and staff members, while fostering an inclusive environment.

With over two decades of experience in education, she has become a beacon of inspiration for both students and colleagues alike. Dr. Sherry is a proud graduate of Bethune-Cookman College with a bachelor’s degree in business. She also holds an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Her dissertation topic focused on "A Study of Inclusion Among Black Male Students with Disabilities in the General Education Classroom," solidifying her commitment to advancing inclusivity in academic spaces.

Dr. Sherry Pough's multifaceted contributions reflect a profound love for empowering the next generation and promoting positive change in education. She recently lead two national workshops on strategies and tools to raise productive men in society at the Northeastern Jack& Jill Teen Conference for the Mothers and for the Mocha Moms National Podcast.
